The Crown Room for a Queen
What an event!!! I don't think I'll ever get over it. Starring some of the cast of my debut memoir Solo Mum by Choice, and having so many familiar faces in the audience was nothing short of perfection. One of the best days of my life and I can't wait to share all the moments, photos and videos on here soon.
I didn't take ONE PICTURE!!! So I'm waiting for everyone to ping theirs over. And I have a great video too of the interview with the marvellous Ariane Beeston (dancer, psychologist and author of YA ballet novel, Don't Forget to Smile and memoir Because I'm Not Myself, You See).
It was a child-friendly event, so kiddos played in the background while we chatted. Worked really well with a makeshift little play area at the side. That meant solo parents could easily attend.
The Crown Room at Glen Street is where I used to do ballet classes as a kid, so it’s super special to me. Sitting before a crowd of seventy-plus people to talk about my memoir was extremely emotional. Thank you to my family, my friends new and old, the debut crew 2026, the solo mums, my publisher Hawkeye Publishing, and everyone who was there.
It was a truly magical launch!
